We recently bought an ice cream maker. And I have been experimenting with different recipes I find online. This one is a mix of several I found, with some of our own twists, and has turned out to be one of our favorites now.
This is a cooperative family blog of our most loved family recipes. We hope you enjoy our delicious memories.

Betty's Famous Peanut Butter Fudge
This recipe was a classic each holiday season. My mom would make it just right, so that it was never too dry or flakey, and very moist. Then she would pour it into snowflake shaped molds, and then give those away in gift baskets.

Chicken and Dumplings Soup
What can I say about this recipe? It’s comforting and is the perfect thick, hearty soup for cold weather. It’s a crowd pleaser, and in my opinion better than any kind of chicken and dumpling soup you can buy from a can, because it’s a true southern style homemade soup. My mom made this one for me growing up, and it’s one of our family favorites. I often take it to sick friends and neighbors. The leftovers taste even better the next day and it freezes well. It’s also very cheap to make and the ingredients are common in most every household. I very rarely make this in small batches because it disappears so quickly so you might consider doubling or tripling it, especially if you are making it for a crowd!

Parmesan Chicken Drumsticks (AKA: Love Chicken)
WARNING: These are insanely yummy. You might want to double, or triple the recipe. The Ranger can easily inhale about 15 of these things in one sitting. At one point I actually started buying turkey drumsticks to help him fill his belly, but due to the deliciousness of the crispy outer coating, he prefers chicken drumsticks instead.

Chicken Enchiladas
These are so easy to put together, and make for one delicious and filling meal! I usually do these in big batches and freeze a few. This is also one of my favorite recipes to do for friends and family that need meals during rough or busy times in their lives.

Crazy Ranger's Drunken Chicken (Coq au Vin)
This recipe is an altered Coq Au Vin recipe that The Ranger used to eat all the time growing up. It’s a comforting delicious meal with aromas that will make anyone and everyone’s mouths water. Warning: If you have a gas detector in your home it will very likely go off while cooking this dish due to all of the alcohol that burns off. While this recipe technically could be cooked over an open fire while camping, it’s definitely not recommended.

Traditional Chex Party Mix
Every year Betty Rogers would make a huge batch of Traditional Chex Party Mix, and have it out for all our holiday events. It is good for other evenings and parties as well.
